Actinidia Arguta Issai
Issai Kiwi
A compact and vigorous fruiting climbing plant, producing delicious miniature kiwis. The fruits appear from late August to September, are small (about 2 to 4 cm long), green, and sweet when ripe. This variety is self-fertile, meaning it produces fruit without the need for another plant for pollination. It grows to about 2 to 3 meters in height but can climb higher with a trellis or pergola. For maintenance, lightly prune in late autumn or early spring to remove dead branches and encourage growth. Hardy, it can benefit from mulching at the base in winter to protect the roots from frost, especially in very cold climates. Ideal for combining beauty and fruit production in the garden or on a pergola.
