Prunus cerasus Stella
Cherry Stella
A sweet cherry variety, appreciated for its large, sweet and juicy black to dark red cherries, ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for jams and desserts. This cultivar is distinguished by its high productivity and resistance to diseases. Self-fertile, it can produce fruit without the need for cross-pollination, although the presence of another cherry variety can improve the harvest. It begins to produce fruit about 3 to 4 years after planting. Water regularly, especially during dry periods, but avoid excess water which can cause root rot. Pruning is done in late winter or early spring, before the vegetation restarts. Remove dead or weak branches to encourage healthy growth and improve air circulation.
