Known as the Winged Spindle, is an ornamental shrub notable for its dark green foliage in summer, which turns a vibrant scarlet in autumn. Its unique winged branches add visual interest even in winter. Hardy and easy to grow, it is ideal for hedges, clumps or as a single plant to create a focal point in the garden. Water regularly when established, then sparingly thereafter. Prune in early spring to maintain shape and control size. Very hardy, it does not require special winter protection.
