Juniperus Virginiana Taylor
Taylor Eastern Juniper
A narrow, upright juniper variety ideal for modern gardens. This evergreen conifer is prized for its slender shape and dense, dark green foliage, which takes on a slightly blueish hue in winter. It is an excellent choice for smaller spaces or row plantings. Its columnar shape and beautiful colour make it an elegant decorative accent in any garden. Once established, it is drought tolerant and requires little maintenance. However, watering is recommended during the establishment phase, especially in warmer periods. This juniper is also tolerant of poor soils and does not require frequent fertilisation. To protect its roots from frost during the first few years, it is recommended to mulch the base of the plant. Pruning is generally not necessary, but light pruning in spring can be carried out to remove dead or damaged branches and maintain a neat, structured shape. This also helps to encourage healthy, uniform growth.
