Leucanthemum x superbum Snowcap
Snowcap Shasta Daisy
A compact and vigorous daisy variety, known for its large, bright white flowers that contrast beautifully with a bright yellow centre. It forms dense, upright clumps, with sturdy stems that support the abundant flowering throughout the summer, from late spring through to autumn. This daisy is ideal for beds, borders or perennial gardens, providing lightness and colour throughout the season. Once established, it is drought tolerant, but regular watering is recommended during the growing phase to ensure good health. Fertilise in spring with a balanced fertiliser to encourage abundant flowering and vigorous growth. In autumn or early spring, prune back spent stems to encourage new growth. It is also advisable to divide the plant every 2-3 years to maintain its vigour and prevent it from becoming too cumbersome. Light pruning after flowering helps keep the plant compact and encourage new flowering throughout the seasons.
