Malus domestica Wolf River
Wolf River Apple Tree
A variety of apple tree notable for its very large, sweet and juicy fruits. The apples, often giant in size, are red in colour with a firm and slightly tart flesh, perfect for fresh consumption, compotes, pies and juices. This cultivar is very resistant to diseases and produces a generous harvest each year. Self-sterile, it is recommended to plant it with another variety of apple tree that flowers at the same time to ensure cross-pollination. It begins to produce fruit about 4 to 6 years after planting. Water regularly, especially during dry periods, avoiding excess water. Pruning is done in late winter or early spring, before the vegetation resumes. Remove dead or weak branches to encourage healthy growth.
