Silberfeder Maiden Grass

An elegant and spectacular ornamental grass, prized for its large panicles of silvery flowers that appear in late summer and last until autumn. These light, almost feathery flowers create a beautiful contrast to the dark green foliage that turns to golden and coppery hues in autumn. It is perfect for adding verticality and movement to borders, hedges or at the back of the garden. Once established, it is drought tolerant and requires little maintenance, cutting the stems back to about 10-15cm from the ground to encourage healthy growth in spring is recommended. This grass is hardy and tolerates cold winters, but mulching around the roots can be beneficial to protect the plant from severe frosts.
