A shrubby variety prized for its fragrant flowers and beautiful colour. In summer, this shrub produces long panicles of pink flowers, very attractive to pollinators such as bees and hummingbirds. Its glossy green foliage turns a pretty red-orange in autumn, adding an extra decorative effect. It is relatively compact in growth, making it suitable for small gardens as well as hedges or borders. Water regularly to keep the soil moist, especially during dry periods. Prune lightly after flowering to remove spent flowers and encourage compact growth. In winter, apply a layer of organic mulch around the base of the plant to protect the roots from the cold and maintain moisture in the soil.
