Oktoberfest Maiden Grass

A spectacular ornamental grass, distinguished by its large size and feathery flowers. In late summer and autumn it produces panicles of golden flowers, which turn silver as they mature, creating a bright and elegant effect in the garden. This variety of miscanthus is ideal for planting in beds, in the background of a garden, or to create a green screen. Once established it is quite resistant to drought and wind, but requires regular watering during the first year to encourage growth. A hardy plant that tolerates winter well, but to maintain its shape it is advisable to cut the stems back to about 10-15cm from the ground in late winter before new growth. Its bright green foliage turns golden in autumn, adding an interesting visual dimension to your outdoor spaces.
