Hydrangea Paniculata ‘Fire and Ice’
Fire and Ice Panicle Hydrangea
A spectacular variety distinguished by its large panicles of flowers that change from bright white to pink and then dark red as they mature. This cultivar is vigorous and floriferous, making it an excellent choice for beds, hedges or as a solitary specimen. Regular watering is essential, especially during dry periods, to maintain good soil moisture. Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring to encourage healthy growth and abundant flowering. This variety is hardy and tolerates cold winters well. To protect it from the harsh winters, apply a layer of mulch around the roots. Pruning should be carried out in early winter or early spring, before the vegetation restarts. Remove spent flowers and prune dead or weak stems to encourage vigorous growth and optimise flowering.
