Prunus cerasus Crimson Passion
Crimson Passion Cherry Tree
A dwarf cherry variety, prized for its dark red, juicy, sweet, and slightly tart fruit. The cherries are excellent eaten fresh, in jams, pies, or juice. This compact tree is ideal for small gardens, while offering good hardiness. Self-fertile, it produces fruit without the need for another variety nearby, making it suitable for tight spaces. It generally begins bearing fruit 3 to 4 years after planting.
Care:
Regular watering is recommended, especially during flowering and fruit development. Apply a potassium-rich fertilizer in spring to promote flowering and fruiting.
Pruning:
Prune in late winter or early spring to remove dead or misaligned branches and maintain a compact shape. This pruning also stimulates the production of new fruiting shoots.
