Lonicera Aurora
Aurora Honeyberry
A vigorous and floriferous climbing Camerisier with tubular flowers that are white-pink on the outside and yellow inside, appearing from early May (sometimes late April). Its dense, dark green, semi-evergreen foliage provides structure and contrast while highlighting the blooms. The flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, adding color and fragrance to the garden. Highly valued for its productivity and the exceptional taste of its elongated, dark blue fruits, which are sweet with a slight tang, the harvest runs from late June to mid-July, offering an outstanding culinary interest for gardeners. For maintenance, the main formative or thinning pruning (to encourage young shoots) should be done at the end of winter, just before the onset of new growth. Apply mulch around the base to protect the roots in winter and retain soil moisture. As this Camerisier is a heavy nutrient feeder, it is recommended to add compost and natural fertilizers annually to support growth and fruit production.
